- Move your mouse over the Layers box in the lower left corner, and then click More in the menu that appears.

- Now, uncheck Globe View in the Layers menu that has grown.

- If you change the map to “Satellite,” you’ll see that it’s now a simple 2D map.]
Disable 3D view in the Google Maps mobile app
- Start the Google Earth app on your phone.
- Tap the menu icon that looks like three lines in the upper left corner and choose Map Style.

- Disable Turn on 3D Buildings under Display Settings.

Why can’t I use Google Maps in 3D?
If you cannot view Google Maps in 3D, you may be using an outdated operating system or a web browser that does not support WebGL. Make sure your operating system and web browser are up to date.
Google Maps could also be loading in “Lite mode.” This happens most often on systems that don’t support or can’t handle 3D images.

Pre-requisites for Google Maps 3D View
- You need a web browser that supports WebGL if you want to see Google Maps in 3D. Most modern browsers, such as Google Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Safari, support WebGL, but they need to be kept up to date. Here is where you can find out if your browser supports WebGL.
- Systems with older operating systems also can’t show 3D images. You’ll need to be running the latest version of Windows 7, Mac OS 10.12.0 or later, Chrome OS, or Linux on your computer.
- Google Maps will load in Lite mode on computers that don’t meet these needs. In the bottom right corner of Google Maps, a small lightning icon shows this. Lite mode has most of the features of Google Maps, but it doesn’t have 3D imagery or other features from Google Earth.
- Last, you can’t see 3D in all places on Google Maps just yet. Most likely, 3D won’t show small towns and places far away.
